The Niagara College Foundation’s 25th anniversary Seafood Gala has raised $130000 to support student success.
Held on April 5 2014 at the Niagara Fallsview Casino the sold-out event drew more than 730 guests – including business community and education leaders.
Bob Jackson CEO of Vintage Hotels and secretary of the Niagara College Foundation Board led the planning team as 2014 Seafood Gala chair. Proceeds from the gala will fund equipment and learning resources to help students become work ready as well as scholarships and bursaries to help alleviate the financial challenges of a post-secondary education.
“We thank all of our guests and sponsors who not only contributed to making our 25th anniversary Seafood Gala a success but through their tremendous support will help NC students pursue their dreams” said Niagara College vice-president Student and External Relations Sean Kennedy who is also CEO of the NC Foundation.
More than 111 NC students from a variety of programs volunteered at the event. Entertainment was provided by Niagara Symphony Orchestra Elton Lammie Carlyn Connolly and Joey DeBenedetto Ian Middleton Frank Krahan and Parkside Drive.

Niagara College offers more than 111 diploma bachelor degree and advanced level programs at campuses in Welland Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls; as well as more than 600 credit vocational and general interest Part-Time Studies courses. Areas of specialization include food and wine sciences advanced technology media applied health and community safety supported by unique learning enterprises in food wine beer horticulture and esthetics.
