Instructional Skills Workshops
The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is an internationally-recognized certificate program that offers faculty the opportunity to explore conditions that give rise to powerful learning experiences among students. The ISW serves as a laboratory for new and experienced instructors who wish to refine and expand their teaching practice, explore new ideas, or revisit the fundamentals. College Educator Development Program
The CEDP is a collaborative undertaking of the six Western Region Colleges whose mission is to foster teaching excellence through the shared exploration of evidence-based teaching and engagement in ongoing reflective teaching practice.
The Teaching Circles Program provides faculty with an opportunity to gain new insight into their teaching through a process of reciprocal classroom observation and self-reflection.
Part-Time Teachers’ Development Program
Through a series of workshops and practical, hands-on activities, this program provides participants with essential tools for teaching in the Ontario college system. It is structured to encourage networking among participants through the sharing of insights, expertise and effective solutions to common challenges.
Course Design and Renewal Institute
The Course Design and Renewal Institute supports the development of all courses – fully online, blended (hybrid), or face-to-face. Through a combination of large-group sessions, tailored small-group workshops, and individual consultations, the Institute will provide training that is customized to the specific needs of the participating faculty.
