Work Alone Program

Working late? Be safe. Get a security escort on campus.

Niagara College’s Work Alone Program is available to anyone working after regular business hours. The Work Alone program is a 24 hour 365 days a year service. Use the campus Work Alone Program if you require an escort to your vehicle, student residence or bus stop on campus property. You will be accompanied by a campus security guard.

If you wish to use this service to enhance your personal safety, please visit the Campus Security Office or call 111-111-1111 ext. 6999. You can also contact Campus Security using our NC Mobile Safety App.

You will be asked for your location and how long you expect to be working at the college. When you call the service, the Security Control Centre Operator will contact you every hour throughout the evening or will dispatch a Security Guard to check on you.

Before leaving the campus, you MUST call the Security Control Centre Operator. If the operator calls you and you don’t answer, they will leave a message and dispatch a campus security guard. If you are not located, the operator will contact your emergency numbers.
