Erica Jurus joined the Health, Wellness & Accessibility Services team in 2012; she has worked at Niagara College in a variety of positions since 2000 and brings extensive organizational experience to her role in Student Services. Her background in marketing, graphic design, web design and event management allows her to create Student Services media, oversee the website, and facilitate a variety of student-centred events. As a world traveler, she also brings cultural sensitivity to her position. She has volunteered on a number of college committees, including the United Way for nine years and Support Team Recognition Day for 13 years. She is currently Vice President of Education for the Niagara College Toastmasters Club, which welcomes all staff and students who’d like to overcome a fear of public speaking. Erica has earned her Toastmasters Advanced Communicator Silver Award, has served on the Toastmasters District 86 Executive Council as Area 57 Director 2016-17, and is a Toastmasters International Learning Master and Pathways Ambassador (). She has served as a trainer for District 86 Toastmasters, as a Presenter at the college’s biennial Retirement Banquet for the 2014 and 2016 events, and is a regular speaker for the St. Catharines Public Library.
