Psychological Emergencies and Interpersonal Communication

In this course, you will learn to apply knowledge from interpersonal and group dynamics to critical incidents that affect not only victims but also the response team members. You will examine the different theories and recorded clinical assessments regarding psychological disorders and examine major psychological problems that are prevalent in today's society. In order to fully understand the various problems facing the justice system, you will study various case studies dealing with cases of depression, suicide, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, substance related disorders, and dissociative disorders issues. Special emphasis is placed on how psychological disorders affect the criminal justice system.
