Farewell reception for Ben Cecil Feb. 20

A message from VP Academic Steve Hudson:

Dean Ben Cecil will be leaving Niagara College effective March 1st, 2013 as he has accepted an appointment as associate vice president – Academic at Fanshawe College.

His new position includes responsibility for strategic enrolment planning, new program development, quality assurance and research among other considerations. Since joining Niagara College in August 2008 Ben has been an active driver in these areas and others and I am sure that his demonstrated leadership and experiences here at Niagara College will serve as a great base for his new appointment.

I want to thank Ben for his work and leadership in what has been one of the most eventful and growth filled phases of Niagara College’s existence. Working through academic restructuring, new facilities construction and numerous hiring processes he has demonstrated a student focus and an ability to complete detailed analysis and drive process that has been of great benefit to our students and our College.

Please join us on Wednesday, February 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the SAC Board Room (SA208) at the Welland Campus to wish Ben well. If you would like to contribute to a gift, donations can be made to Jane Koetsier in L23 at the Welland Campus or Kim Rose in E102 at the NOTL Campus.
