Alicia Tymoszewicz, events coordinator for wine and beer operations, receives a Niagara’s Top 40 Under 40 Business Achievement Award.
Niagara College has a new reason to raise a glass to wine and beer operations events coordinator Alicia Tymoszewicz.
The 26-year-old staffer was recently honoured with the Business Link Niagara’s Top 40 Under 40 Business Achievement Awards.
She was nominated for the award for a mixture of her work for Niagara College’s events department, as well as her involvement as a volunteer with three different charities in Niagara – including the Canadian Mental Health Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Hospice Niagara.
“I was extremely honoured to receive this award and recognition for my accomplishments. I’ve always strived to be successful in my career and also be involved with giving back to the city I grew up in,” said the St. Catharines resident. “It was humbling to receive this award and only encourages to me to continue to work harder at my career and my community outreach.”
Tymoszewicz has been working at the College since January of 2011. She began working part-time at the College’s winery and brewery retail stores before moving up to her current position.
“My favourite part of my job is seeing and hearing about peoples experience here, whether this is at an offsite event or here at the College,” she said. “Knowing that I, and the amazing team here, have had an impact on someone’s experience and made it memorable is the most rewarding feeling.”
